March was a quiet month, but that’s partly because I chose to invest my time (and advertising budget) in another project. My little experiment with affiliate marketing brought in $1,095 in total, so I think it was worth it.
Anyway, down to the stats:
Subscribers:
417
Revenue:
Text-Link-Ads: $105
AdSense: $55.98
AdToll: $7.06
Other affiiliate revenue: $15
Kontara: $0.50 (woo!)
(Total: $183.54)
Costs:
Advertising: $15

February was a much better month than January. As I suspected, things picked up quite nicely after the quiet holiday period. So here’s the stats:
Subscribers:
393
Revenue:
Text-Link-Ads: $134.69
AdSense: $85.72
Other affiiliate revenue: $10.85
(Total: $231.26)
Costs:
Advertising: $120
As with previous months, Text-Link-Ads is my biggest earner. Subscriber numbers didn’t go up quite as much as I would have liked, but [...]
Ok, I promise to try not to get excited every time we get another 100 subscribers, but we hit 200 Money Blogger subscribers over the weekend.

But lately, most of the posts I’ve seen from John Cow simply not worth bothering with. But this post [...]
I’m pleased to say, over the weekend Money Blogger passed the 100 RSS subscribers mark!
That’s a pretty good growth rate for a blog that’s only 6 weeks old (and easily beats any of my other blogs), but I’m sure we can do better.
Those first 100 subscribers have been achieved by a combination of methods, [...]
A couple of weeks ago, I asked the question “What’s a subscriber worth?“, and after doing some very basic calculations, I came to the conclusion that a subscriber in my niche (”Make Money Blogging”) was worth somewhere between $12 and $30.
Interestingly, someone else has been trying to figure out that magic number, but [...]
As I mentioned yesterday, I’m going to look at ways of getting more traffic into a blog this week - and one of the simplest ways to get traffic is a good old-fashioned advertising campaign.
I’m going to be experimenting with Google AdWords, but I need to think about (1) what my primary goal is, [...]
