I love Feedburner and you should too.

If you’re at all serious about blogging, you need Feedburner. Even if you’re not doing it to make money, knowing how many people are reading your blog is a great way to increase your motivation (either to write more, or to get more readers!)

The stats and graphs Feedburner gives you allow you to track growth in a way you might not have considered before. You can track how changes you make affect your reader numbers. Is that big new ad block putting people off? Did adding a big RSS button to the top of the page help? Feedburner has the answers.

Feedburner also offers a wonderful RSS-to-email feature, allowing your readers to get your blog direct to the email inbox. This is a useful because

  • Internet users are much more familiar with email than RSS
  • You can build a database of email addresses for mailshots and send them exclusive content or special offers
  • You know exactly who is subscribed!

It’s for these reasons that I’ve added a subscription form to the header of Money Blogger. This is space that could be sold as ad-space, but it’s more valuable to me as a way to increase subscriber numbers.

So why not subscribe right now!
