I’m currently testing Kontera on Money Blogger, but it’s one of those things I have a few reservations about.

I’ve been using it on my personal blog for a couple of months and click throughs and revenue are pretty good.

But I just don’t like the look of the ads.

The Kontera ads on this page are those blue double underlined links on the page. Hover your mouse over them and you get Kontera’s “ContentLink” box with an ad. But it’s the fact that it makes my own text into ads that look like links that I’m a little uncomfortable with. I’ve also found Kontera’s servers to be quite slow on occasion, which can slow down the loading of the page.

Kontera

Having said all that, Money Blogger is in the business of making money, so I’m going to try them for a while. I may get annoyed with the ads, and remove them, or they may turn out to be my biggest earner. I just don’t know yet.
