The ads tie right in with the content on the website so they are interesting from that perspective. It doesn't seem to bog down my website, although I suppose thats because we run on very top end servers so time lag is not an issue for us (slow server means more time for that information to travel from your enduser to the server to Kontera and then back through that entire loop). Overall we are happy with the performance. In fact we have done better with Kontera than we have with google adsense and Kontera isn't as anal about content on our websites. I would use swear words here to describe them, but I have refrained myself from that. Do yourself a favor and never even waste the 5 minutes it takes to sign up for the company. Typical payouts are 0.01-0.04 for an ad click. And Kontera when installed on your site slows it down so horribly bad that customers start complaining. I think this company is in serious financial trouble, because the only reason to pay so low per click would be because margins at the company are facing tough pressure. Kontera should do themselves a favor and shut-down, because no self respecting web administrator would put this garbage on their site. I just want everyone to know this before they sign up, because it will hurt your bottomline and they won't refund you. Plus the ads aren't targeted properly. Who cares if they actually respond on a comment board. Ever notice google doesn't? that's because they are a real company that can afford to pay publishers when it's all said and done. I think Kontera is making so little in terms of revenue that it actually can't afford to pay out publishers because they need to keep the lights on at the building. What a scam. It only lasted 1 day on my site. The links that they place in your text always go to some bs search engine. I am testing chitika linx now, although I have to say Adsense has been a consistent and much more reliable income stream than either Chitika or Kontera. Chitika's pay per click is also questionable, when you are getting some 3,000 page views per day and a good ctr and still a ecpm, then I question the ad company. If you want a good program then go with Adsense, they are fair all the way around. I will also test Microsofts Pubcenter in a couple of days as well.
