Last week I posted a quick tip on using SEO keyword tools to get ideas for new blog posts.

Getting inspiration is one of the biggest obstacles that most bloggers face when it comes to posting regularly.

John Chow just posted about where he gets his ideas from, and the most striking thing about his post is how many ideas involve getting away from the computer entirely.

Something as simple as getting outside and going for a walk for half an hour can be a great way to get your mind in gear. When you take away the pressure of staring at a blank computer screen, you’ll be amazed how much easier the ideas come.

For best results, take a small notepad with you to jot down all the ideas that pop into your head – because if you’re anything like me, you’ll have forgotten them by the time you get back to the computer!
