Is AdSense still relevant?

I’ve been using Google AdSense for over 4 years now, and during that time I’ve earned over $50,000 from it.
But for the past couple of years, I’ve never really recommended it to other people.
My main issue has always been a lack of transparency from Google. Publishers don’t know what percentage of revenue they’re getting [...]

I’ve mentioned the value of running competitions a couple of times already, but I just wanted to share the results of the Chocablog competition that’s just finished.
The competition ran for a couple of weeks, with entrants having to subscribe to the email version of Chocablog’s RSS feed, then fill out a tie-breaker.

Taymar over at MMORPG-INFO just asked me an interesting question about one of the blogs she subscribed to:

“I subscribed to a website the other day and within 48 hours I’d received 150 posts. This is obviously well and beyond what I am willing to read.

But this week, one post stood out for me for entirely the wrong reasons.
“Nip Problems in the Bud with a TOS Page” was a guest post by David Hobby which suggested that the best way to stop potential problems [...]

November Stats

November may have been our first full month of blogging, but I’m particularly pleased with how well Money Blogger did:
Subscribers:
140
Revenue:
AdSense: $72
Affiliates: $117
Total: $189
Costs:
Competition: $100
Advertising: $75
Total: $175
So we’re in profit, and we’re rapidly approaching 150 subscribers after less than 2 months blogging. Compare that to October’s stats.
You’ll notice that I’m still investing pretty much all [...]
