Not that it ever really went away - but it’s just been relaunched, after causing a bit of a stir the first time round.
If you’re the kind of person who keeps your ear to the blogosphere, you’ll already know about Blogrush. That little widget at the bottom of the right margin on this page.
Blogrush shows relevant links to other blogs in your ‘niche’, and you gain credits for every time the widget is shown on your page. The more credits you get, the more your posts appear in other people’s widgets.
But you also get credits for the people you refer to Blogrush, the people they refer and the people they refer. So it has potential to generate quite a bit of traffic.
The relaunched site features an all new dashboard and reports. This video on the Blogrush site explains the changes.
I’m still not entirely convinced by Blogrush. It’s overly complicated and seems too much like a cross between those mid-nineties link exchanges and a pyramid scheme to me. But as you can see, I’m giving it a go and I’ll report back on how successful it is.
